Royal Polish

Not polish related at all but Grayson is finally crawling! At 8 months and 6 days my little chub started crawling. He's so lazy though, he'll crawl just as far as he has to until he can flop down on his belly to reach whatever he wants. That's my child haha. Anyways, today I have some completely gorgeous new polishes from Violet (the creative mastermind behind Royal Polish).

Color Blast
I seriously love white crellies, like I physically have to stop myself from buying every one I see. And I love this one! It's a densely packed glitter that is perfect in two coats.
I see green, blue, yellow, pink, purple. Perfect! It's kind of the same style as China Glaze It's A Trapeze but way prettier and more spring like.

Purple Passion
Purple Passion is exactly what it sounds like, a purple lovers dream polish! It's got a light lavender base with all kinds of purple glitter! Swatch shows 3 coats with topcoat and some stamping!
Oh yeah, there's also a pretty shimmer! Try to ignore the bubbles, I need a new topcoat haha.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Glitter
I did the first two swatches and then changed nail shape. Sorry about that! Anyways, I love the idea behind the name. One day it's just kinda cloudy and then glitter starts falling from the sky. Anways, swatch shows 2 coats with topcoat and stamping.
The grey base is a little lighter than shown in this picture but I love it! There's pink, grey, and white hex in there!

Broken Rainbow
I've been obsessing over triangle glitter recently so to finally get some on my fingers is a dream. New favorite shape in case any one was keeping track. Anyways this is one coat over China Glaze The Grass Is Lime Greener with topcoat and stamping.
O goodness that triangle glitter...someone make a polish with just triangles and dots please, I'll love you forever!
This one is so bright and colorful, I really enjoy it and want to put it over everything haha!

Midnight Party
I couldn't really think of anything else to stamp other than a skyline, and I don't know why. But it looks cool so oh well. Plus SEQUIN GLITTER. I'm better now. This was one coat with placement of the sequins over Julep Margaret.
Okay. This is hands down my favorite polish of the ones I've reviewed today. Maybe ever. Dare I say in the top ten faves? I love all the holo glitter, and the sequins but what I really love are those blue/green flakies! They're stunning! It's not super obvious they're flakies on the nail but it adds something gorgeous and unique to this polish.
Plus that sequin glitter.

The Quick And Dirty: No formula issues to report other than the teensiest bit of placement for the sequin glitter. But that's not an issue since I'm used to fishing for bigger glitter.

What's your favorite? How're you liking the new nail shape? I'm still adjusting but I enjoy it!

Royal Polish Glitter Grenades and Jellies

Just a quick post today on some new Royal Polish polishes since I'm super busy.

Cobalt
Cobalt is a brilliant blue jelly that's super squishy. 3 coats with topcoat and OPI Which Is Witch? Sandwiched in between.

Morning Glory
Morning Glory is pretty sheer, this took 4 coats with topcoat and Euphoric Lacquer The Power in between.
Isn't that just delicious?!

Glorious Explosion
This is one coat over white with topcoat. It's a dense glitter topper with blue, silver, and pink hex in different sizes.
Is it just me or are the tiny blue glitters teeny tiny little diamonds?! That's do adorable to me I can't get over it haha.

Take A Pow!
I love this one. Seriously, so much! This is one coat over OPI Gargantuan Green Grape. On a side note I'm pretty sure my bottle of GGG used to be green but now it's the ugly blue color.
This is the perfect comic book glitter. I'm just dead, I love this one and want ten bottles of it.

Positive Pinking
2 coats over white. This is so girly! So I did a super girly accent nail to go with it.
I love those holo circles!
Here's a close up on that accent nail because I love it.

Lastly, Melting Forests
This was one coat over OPI Samoan Sands with topcoat. This one is one of my favorites of the glitters that I received. It's so pretty and sparkly!
Check out that macro, ugh. I wore this mani for 2 days. That's how much I loved it haha.

So which is your favorite? The Jellies and The Glitter Grenades launched earlier today, so head over to royalpolish.storenvy.com to check them out. Make sure you follow Violet on Instagram (@royalpolish) to keep up to date with the latest Royal Polish news!

Here's a quickie

Super quick blog post today about a mani I shared on Instagram the other day.
This is all hand painted so there are some quirks to it.
This was my finished mani but I thought it needed a little something else.
So I added outlines to every nail. But the more I thought about it the more I thought that it would look better matte.
I think it did, I like it best matte with outlines. I loved this mani, I never wanted to take it off. Which do you like best?

Sea Dreams by Royal Polish

BbhhToday I have 6 polishes to show you ladies from Royal Polish. Violet is just the sweetest and I throughly enjoy all of her polishes, they're all unique and very well thought out. Let's get started!

First up is Soft Sands
This is a nude holo that gives me pretty good mannequin hands which I secretly LOVE. Plus an accent of some stamped shells. It seemed fitting.
This was 3 coats without topcoat.
I tried to get a sun shot but the sun wasn't playing nice. The holo on this one isn't IN YOUR FACE, but it's not a sneaky holo either. It's there and it's very pretty.

Next is Tidal Glow
This one is so pretty, it's got so many different colors of flakies! This is 3 coats with topcoat.
I have no idea why my camera freaked out and made me so red when I went to do the macro haha, just know my hands are not that red I promise.
Mm flakie goodness. Flaky? I don't know.

Beyond The Horizon
I'll admit, I was scared of this orange in the bottle. But I love it on, it actually works very well with my skin.
This orange has golden shimmer and gold flakies (definitely not flakys there, I know that much). This was 3 coats with topcoat.

Next is Ocean Potion
This has a shimmery blue base with all sizes of blue holo glitter, and I think I even saw some green in there.
I'm not sure why I didn't take a macro of this one on the nail, maybe because I'm crazy, or maybe because Grayson starting crying as I was taking pictures. Same thing basically. Regardless, this was 3 coats with topcoat.

Next is Please Kelp Me!
The name is just awesome first of all. Secondly this has a surprise I was not expecting, I thought based on what it looked like in the bottle that this was just small gold hex with smaller green hex but I was wrong.
Check out those little blue flakies! This was 1 (1!) coat over black with topcoat.
This one is one of my favorites, it's such a pretty topper! And that name.

Lastly, and my personal favorite, is Shark Love.
This just looks like an off white right?
Totally not! This has a scattered holo with teeny tiny holo glitter. Holy moly. This one is jaw dropping, it's perfect. I wanted to hug it, it was so gorgeous. This was 3 coats with topcoat.
I die, it's so beautiful! Here's another picture just because.

All in all I enjoy this collection, Shark Love and Please Kelp Me! Are my favorites of the 6 although I do enjoy them all. All 6 of these had a perfect formula, not too thick and not too thin, as I've come to expect from Violet.

I believe this collection is available to purchase right now at
